The Asio Record package provides interfaces and a few helper classes for reading records.

A record is split up into a header and the actual record. The header defines the type and the size of the record. If the type is unknown to a reader, it is possible to discard a record and read the next one.

The {@link com.maptrack.asio.record.IRecordFactory} is used to create records based on the header.

It is important that the server and client agrees upon which header they utilize. The interfaces here just assume that the size of the header is constant and that both sides agrees on how to pack and unpack the header information into a byte buffer.
