Axel Uhl e82d092b25 improved assertions in MPC; don't try to delete candidate from adjacent previous sequence; 
the new invariant for the StationarySequenceBasedFilter states that no candidate can
be in more than one StationarySequence. Therefore, if it's found in one, no look
to the "left" adjacent sequence is required anymore.

Unfortunately, this still doesn't really explain what has happened at the SCL
as explained in bug 5026, comments 12 and following...

Axel Uhl c83047c2a7 bug5004: changed TrackedLegOfCompetitor.getWindwardDistanceToGo so it can turn negative; 
with this, more consistency is achieved between ranking and windward distance to go
column in the leaderboard

Axel Uhl e70880d9ad bug 5004: rank by windward distance from leg start instead of windward distance to go; 
this intends to create more stability for situations where a line at the end of a leg
has a significant bias which so far has led to the windward distance to go getting
minimized while the competitor's projection is between the two marks of the biased line
